• Meeting in Person
There can be no sense to heeding to any pressurised
request into meeting anyone. End your online connection if somebody
keeps persisting you.Nice people don't make threats or put pressure
on people they care about.
When you do decide to meet your online biddy you like(at least
for the first time), treat it as meeting a stranger and take all
precautions necessary as you do with a stranger. Like meeting
in a public place, taking your friends along with you, keeping the
meeting short, strictly adhering to time schedules, telling your
family and friends where you are going and with whom you'll be,etc. If
during the date, you decide to go somewhere else, use your own
car.
Should you need to travel to meet your on-line love, make your
own hotel and car reservations and don't give out the name of
your hotel. In all take a "do it yourself" approach
and of course provide your family and friends with all the necessary
contact informations.
Getting out of Trouble
If you start feeling unsure or uncomfortable about your date,
politely extricate yourself from the situation. Excuse yourself
and leave by the back door if necessary. Do not hesitate to ask
for help from persons nearby, call your family, friends or the
police if you feel the situation warrants. Trust your judgement
and don't be afraid of potential embarrassment. Better to be embarrassed
than physically hurt.
