Match.com first appeared in April 1995 as an
online classifieds tool. With limited features and usability,
Match.com soon attracted a community of over 60,000 singles in less
than a year, quickly becoming a leading online matchmaking site.
By early 1996, nearly 500,000 members were finding each other at
Match.com, and engagement and marriage announcements started to pour
